Nestled in the heart of the city of Kingston, NY lies a private golf course and club with a history as rich as that of the city itself. The desire by the “men and women of stature” in town, for a golf course to satisfy the ever-growing popularity of the game led to the lease of a piece of land owned by Samuel Coykendall and the Montrepose Cemetery Association. The Twaalfskill Golf Club was born and the year was 1902.
Twaalfskill offers its member a well kept 9 hole course made difficult because of its rolling hills and slopes. It is the perfect course for a quick round of 9 holes or to go around again on a new set of tees for 18 holes.
The Twaalfskill Club also offers an olympic size swimming pool and separate wading pool for the young children. A changing room with lockers and showers is nearby for the swimmer’s convenience.
Our Clubhouse is available to the members and includes a well stocked bar and restaurant. The dining room can hold about 80 diners with additional room on the covered porch overlooking the fourth green.
At Twaalfskill Golf Club, the member always comes first.
